L’Auberge des Glacis is situated at Islet, half way between Quebec City and Riviere du Loup. A whole page of South Shore history is engraved on the stone walls of this former seigniorial flour-mill. The hotel offers 16 romantic rooms and the dining room with wood beams can accommodate more than fifty guests. Chef Pascal Androdias concocts his gourmet table with more than 70 products from the Chaudière-Appalaches region, including sturgeon from the St. Lawrence River, bison and lamb from Saint Jean Port Joli, Charolais beef from Cape St Ignace, etc. L'Auberge des Glacis is at the heart of a vast domain meandered by the Turtle River, with hiking trails, lake swimming, gazebo overlooking the river, historical landmarks and Identification flora panels. The all-season solarium by the river or the beautiful outdoor terrace is worth a look. A gastronomic adventure at the mill!
